User manual for Excel
Information for system administratior:
To use the Excel database link within Speedbooks or to read an Excel file, we use the driver below, which can be installed on the system on which Speedbooks is installed, which can be downloaded from the following link:
Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010
If that does not solve the problem, it may be that an old Excel version is installed. Then install:
Access Database Engine Driver 2007
If the end user wants to use the Operational Database Link in combination with cost centers, Speedbooks will have to be linked to an SQL server.
Information for the user:
If reading the file does not work and Speedbooks indicates that no periods are found (or does not read data), check whether the necessary driver is installed
No “;” is allowed in the import file. Speedbooks unfortunately cannot handle this
If incorrect data is read, make sure the cell properties are set to default.
Excel
Speedbooks has 2 different ways to link with Excel, we have a database link (this allows multiple years to be put in 1 file) or the file link (this allows each period to have a file)

Database link Operational

*If you want to use the database link and you do not have it in Speedbooks, please contact us to include this link in your license.
